Fuellers Have Talent

I am really pleased to be starting this feature again in 2009 - the FMB  Flickr Group has 64 members and we have been lucky to have  had a stream of interesting  uploads  since its creation :)

Fuellers if you take pictures and would like to share them with the rest of the community here on Fuelmyblog - head over the the FMB Flickr Group now!

I always enjoy looking at your latest uploads and might just pick yours for this week’s selection!

Next week I would love to put a photo collage with a theme of snow and frost.

I know it is cold and it might be tricky to take a picture with gloves on but the result should be worth it!

In the meantime I have the pleasure to show the latest Fuellers Have Talent for this week:

Danielle Branch presents How to Create a Sexy Eye Catching Title posted at Content 123, saying, “So you have written this killer article or blog post, but now you sit trying to think of what the title should be. How can you let the casual looker know what your post or article is about but make it catchy too?”

Tony Huynh presents Tao of Jeet Kune Do Book Review - The Art of Street Fighting posted at LimitlessUnits.com, saying, “Bruce Lee’s Tao of Jeet Kune Do is as revolutionary and influential a work to the study of hand-to-hand combat as Sun Tsu’s Art of War is to warfare. Just as the Art of War was encompassing with its detailed analysis of troop movements, supply lines, terrain and troop morale, the Tao of Jeet Kune Do exhaustively explores all that goes into a fist fight, covering cardiovascular conditioning workouts, weights, proper stances, movement, mechanics of the punch and kick, parries, ripostes, feints and cadence.”

P.L. Frederick presents You’re On My Mind, For $1,000 posted at Small and Big, saying, “Advertising isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s for the big of head.”

Jon Swift presents Best Blog Posts of 2008 (Chosen by the Bloggers Themselves) posted at Jon Swift, saying, “My annual roundup of what bloggers chose as their best posts of the year. These posts aren’t ranked by quality or traffic statistics and there are no winners and losers. They weren’t selected by a committee of experts or voted on in a popularity contest. They represent only what each blog or blogger believes was his or her blog’s best work of the year.”

Isaac Yassar presents 2 Requirements Of Definite Success posted at Isaac Yassar .com, saying, “Do you want to be a great writer? Fulfill these two requirements, and I guarantee your success in writing.”

Tony Huynh presents What Video Games Taught Me About Life at LimitlessUnits.com posted at LimitlessUnits.com, saying, “I do not go a week without the media putting out a report or hearing somebody say that video games are a waste of time and that there is very little value in spending time playing them. I can personally say that video games have been hugely beneficial to both my social and professional life. I have learned first-hand many of life’s lessons from video games and I constantly draw upon my experience as a gamer to be successful in any goal or challenge that I face. Here are some of the life lessons that I have learned from playing video games.”

Damien presents Resolution Acronym for 2008 :: COG posted at Damien at the Speed of Life, saying, “Since it’s New Year’s and all, I thought I’d share my three word acronym for the changes I hope to make as a human.”

Damien presents 3 Things to Avoid When Starting a Blog posted at Damien Riley’s Podcast, saying, “I know this is my second submission this month but I think some people might benefit from it. I made a video of me talking about the stuff to avoid when starting a blog and some people at Fuelmyblog I know are just starting out.”

BlueFur presents Top 10 Marketing Flops of 2008 posted at BlueFur.com, saying, “Sarah Palin? Yahoo! Buzz? What else flopped in 2008. We can learn what NOT to do from these.”

O’Flaherty presents 2008 The end and beginning of O’Flaherty posted at O’Flaherty, saying, “A thought provoking compilation of landmarks in last year. ”

New Years Eve Party

Tonight is the night you have all been waiting for!

The FMB New Years Eve Party - we know this will be a 24 hour event due to time zones, so feel free to cheer and help yourself to some of the party food we have laid out below:-

Don’t forget to send us your fancy dress pics..the following is an old library image of Sylvie and I at our 30th party..in three years time *ahem*.

The DJ is already spinning some discs and has on the party classic (as requested by Daddy Papersurfer) “When I’m Cleaning Windows” by George Formby:

You have seen what we are wearing if you think this is bad look at this lot…have you guessed who it is yet?

Look forward to seeing you all on here later :)

New Years Eve Party Invite

So, in just a few days it is the biggest party night on the planet, we thought it is only right that we open the doors and have a party here too!

How to get involved, well, it is a fancy dress party with a 70’s theme.  All you need to do is get dressed up (we will post photos on the 31st if you send them to us!) and join in the fun.  We have laid on some vol-au-vents and cheese and pineapple on sticks.

Comments will be open all night and hope to see you when you celebrate.  We have a DJ too so let us know what songs we should play at midnight.

All the best, see you Wednesday!
